What's the problem?

Online communication is getting increasingly unsafe. We need to stay ahead of the curve and build the infrastructure necessary to safeguard our online communications and be sure that everyone is aware it exists.

What's the solution?

After a few discussions, the Rainbow Collective decided that the most accessible option for all would be Signal chat. Signal is a highly polished, highly secure, end to end encrypted chat platform that ensures that no one besides those involved in the conversation can see the messages.

The proposed solution is a network of RC2 branded group chats that match the major categories of channels in the Discord server. The initial design is to have a single, Announcement only chat that servers as a landing chat that contains the rules for the chat network and a self service guide (cryptpad doc) that contains invite links to the other networked group chats. This will enable the same opt-in methods to chats that the Discord provides.
